MY ELEVATOR PITCH:

 

My branding journey began in interior design--creating spaces to engage and delight people, express brand identity, and tell compelling visual stories.  Understanding human proportions, behavior, needs, and expectations is essential to the discipline of design, and this human-centered perspective gave me a strong foundation in pursuing my Masters in Branding at the School of Visual Arts.  There, I learned that developing sound brand strategy isn’t too different from designing an efficient space: each requires a deep and nuanced understanding of the audience.

This understanding is vital to how I approach strategy, and reminds me to consider the (imperfect/distracted/indifferent) real person on the other end—not the ideal one.  I’m an i-dotter and t-crosser.  Meticulous since birth (and likely in the womb), I have an eye for the microscopic details that go unnoticed, and important questions that go unasked—allowing me to adeptly identify problem areas along with areas of opportunity. I believe good ideas are often obscured by bad communication. Articulating concepts with clarity is not enough; my passion lies in using creative storytelling to enliven ideas, and compelling emotion to connect people to them.
